Email server displayed in Email header

Denis L. 16 Dec, 2013
Hi,

I'm using ChronoForms and I have a little problem with the Emails...

I've setup everything in the Email settings as it "should" be and everything works fine (client receives the confirmation Email and Web site's admin receives the client's Email coming from the web sites form), but the only problem is that in the Email's header where the sender's detail is displayed, the panelbox server address is added.

I contacted the hosting provider and the say it's not from them but that it must be a setting in ChronoForms. Here is an example of what I mean:

In Email header it displays: <thewebsite@s006.panelboxmanager.com> from; thewebsite <email of sender@yahoo.ca>

It gets pretty confusing for client and site's owners...

I would like it to display like this: from; thewebsite <email of sender@yahoo.ca>
or like this: Name of sender <email of sender@yahoo.ca>

Could someone please help me shed some light on this?

Thank you very much in advance for your precious help!

Denis.

Hi Denis,

Which versions of Joomla! and ChronoForms are you using? What Email settings are you using from the From & Reply To addresses?

Please see this FAQ which tlks about a Joomla! bug in Joomla! 2.5 affecting the Reply To address.

I strongly recommend that you do *not* use the Dynamic From Email element in your Email Setups. Using this often results in your emails being marked as spam and dropped into a spam filter. Instead use the static From Email with an address that matches the site domain name and use Dynamic ReplyTo Email for the user email. The result is the same but with a much better chance of good delivery.
