Forms gone after upgrade

Hi,

I have upgraded Chronoforms form an 4.0 RC... (I don't remember exactly) version to 4.0.1. I did deinstall the old component and plugin and installed the new ones as recommended. But the forms are all gone. What can I do? (I do habve an Backup)

Hello

Use phpMyAdmin and check the table [your prefix]_chronoforms in the database.
Is there any data?

If not, restore your website into another location using your backup. Do not overwrite any files or the database from your upgraded website.

After that, login into your Website-Copy and open the Chronoforms component.
From there backup all your forms using the Backup Button on top and restore the forms in your upgraded website.

Are above tables from the upgraded website or from the restored website?

Sorry, I did not say this clearly: it is the upgraded website. I have not made a restoration yet, I looked into the database of the upgraded site to check the tables and they are still there. Can I reactivate them somehow?

Strange the forms don't get listed.

In the Chronoforms component you have a dropdown menu above the list where the forms are supposed to be listed. It's called "Forms App".
Does it have more than one entry?
Usually it reads "Default" only there.

What do you have there?

If you want, then export your forms from the chronoforms table and PM it to me so I can have a look at it (or you can post the CF tables here).

There is only "default" there.

Maybe you want to delete your link since the file contains not only the data for CF.
It's better to send such links by PM ;-)

The table j17_chronoforms is empty! There are no forms!

You need to restore your website with your backup.

Problem is, that I have password protected the /administrator. This is also in the backup I'm trying to restore local. It does not let me log into the backend now. Can you help me,or do I have to ask in some Joomla forum?

Okay, solved:

I had to delet the .htaccess file.

I backuped the forms on the local restore site and restored them on the live site.
