hi. i am new to forum administration & web building. I am trying to install chronoforums onto my joomla site & get the following error:
Warning: PDO::query() [pdo.query]: SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'gotyo492_jooml78.jos_chronoengine_extensions' doesn't exist in /home/gotyo492/public_html/administrator/components/com_chronoforums/libs/database.php on line 214
Database Error:
Array
(
[0] => 42S02
[1] => 1146
[2] => Table 'gotyo492_jooml78.jos_chronoengine_extensions' doesn't exist
i think it has to do with the following issue as posted on the JED website for the chronoforums:
Minimum server requirements:
PHP 5.3**
PHP PDO extension enabled.**
PHP PDO MySQL extension enabled.**
**Most web servers meet these requirements, in case your server does NOT then you will receive an error when trying to access the ChronoForums admin home page.
if this is the case can anyone tell me how to make it so i can use the chronoforums or is it just not possible.
thanks

Hi me2stuck,
Please check the Site Admin | System Information | PHP Info tab on your site so see if you have the correct PHP version and the PDO modules are installed.

so i checked the php ver & had the extensions enabled & still icant get it to install & get the error. any ideas?
I have exactly the same issue.
I use PHP version: 5.4.4 with standard build in PDO support.
It is installed on Debian with the PDO module for Mysql enabled. And it is a completely fresh installation as i had the same issue on a windows box with php and mysql enabled running on IIS.
Also running MySql version: 5.5.31

Downgraded my php version to 5.3 but the problem remains.
Am i missing some php plugin what is needed for this forum software?
or is the install script not executing the table creation sequence.
p.s.
Also tried joomla 2.5 as maybe something was wrong in the extension installer of 3.1 but that didn't work as well.

Hi me2stuck,
I know very little about ChronoForums, please contact Max, the developer, using the Contact Us link above and add a link to this thread.

Bob,
I used the contact form and linked this topic.
But somehow the database table creation process, or rather the file what it creates, doesn't work. I manually created all tables and now it installed like it should do.
Maybe this helpes Max to solve the issue faster!

Hi PowerJ,
I have no knowledge about ChronoForums, I can only suggest that you contact Max again.

Hi all,
I found a bug with new installations, I have fixed this and you may now install RC11 which should work fine!

Max
