Content around the form?

rcastagna 03 Jun, 2008
Hey, all...I'm a one-day n00b to ChronoEngine, and about four days into Joomla! itself, so please bear with me...

I'm trying to figure out if there is an "easy" way to inject content around (on top and bottom) of the form that's being generated.

Typically, I have clients that want static contact information presented on the same page as the contact form.

In the test site I'm working with, everything is "uncategorized", so I don't have any Categories or Sections to add an article to, so I've resorted to hacking up the chronocontact.html.php file to suit my needs.

Of course, this would be a royal pain in the arse if I have to do it this way for every contact form I push out there, so I'm hoping some of you veterans have some sage advice for this poor n00b.

Thanks in advance,
Ric

P.S. To all the colleagues "down under" - G'day, mates! I'm hoping I can get back down there soon. Bondi Beach and a nice cold Crownie have been calling my name!

Hi Ric,

You can add any html you like in the Form HTML box. So it can go . . .

Several paragraphs of text (or whatever)

The form itself.

More paragraphs of content.

There doesn't even have to be a form in there.

Yeah...that makes sense. Silly me thought that something special was happening to that code and it wouldn't permit anything but the form.

Thanks, Bob!
