Can't edit a form

LAMF 15 Aug, 2013
After upgrading to the latest Chronoforms component (V4_stable_J25) I can no longer go into an existing form and edit it.
I have tried both in Wizard mode and Custom mode but when I edit for example the confirmation email content under the Events tab and save it it is simply nopt changed.
Worse is if I work in Wizard mode and go into the Wizard and Preview tab to edit the different fields etc and then save it everything is erased.
Even if I go back to custom and view the code it's gone.
Something is very wrong here and I woudl be more than happy to know what is causing this.
Are there an y bugfix for this or anything else that I have missed?

Best regards

Hi LAMF,

Nothing significant has changed in ChronoForms to cause this - it can happen if your server has been upgraded, particularly from PHP 5.2 to 5.3. Please see this FAQ.

Hi Bob,
I have been looking at other sites forms that I have and they are not facing this issues. It's only on two of the sites but I can't pin-point what is causing the problem. Some installed component or plugin probably.
Are there any known extensions that causes conflicts like these?

Hi LAMF,

Please take a Form Backup of one of the form with problems using the icon in the Forms Manager - if you can - and post it here (as a zipped file) or PM or email it to me and I'll take a closer look.

Hi Bob,
Well as it is on all forms on the site I have attached bot a simple form and a form with more functions.
The URL to the site is: http://www.gagneffiske.se

Hope you find something.

Thanks

Hi LAMF,

I restored the Kontakta_oss file and saw a similar problem. When I open it it in the Wizard the Preview box is empty - though the front-end looks OK. If I save it then the HTML mostly disappears.

I think that the problem - in part at least - is that you have used a Formatted Text element for the big chunk of text at the head of the form. This element is fine for very simple text but anything with double quotes (or unclosed tags) will break it. The Custom Code element is much more robust and IMHO you should always use that for anything more complex than <h3>. . . </h3>
