'Show' passwords in blank text

brononius 24 Jul, 2013
Not sure if this is the proper place to ask it, but since i'm using chronoform for it...

I want to create a form to keep my customer configurations.
With configuration, I mean IP's, logins, serials, dates... for different devices/sites.

This way, a customer can log in to the joomla site, and can check himself most of his configurations.
But of course, keep/show passwords in 'blank' text have his risks.

Any suggestions on this part?

Hi brononius,

I'm very doubtful about keeping any passwords on line. You could probably encrypt them in the database and unecrypt to display; or you could save images with random names and display them when needed.

Me too,

But it's a fact that 80% of the questions/problems are cases were you need one of those passwords.
So I'm just trying to find a good way. 🙄

Or maybe a button with 'send' password by mail?

ps I'm also having doubt of keeping the passwords (uncrypted/crypted) in the database ... :$
