joomla contact form and chronoforms

julia33 18 Jul, 2013
hi,
I have two forms.
One Joomla quick contanc form (mod_quick_contact)
and one chronoforms form.
(I have joomla 3 and chronoforms v4)

When I send the joomla form everythings works correct.

When I send the chronoforms form I get the notice: email function could not be initalized.

BUT
if I go back to joomla quick contact form and send it I get TWO Emails. One from quick contact form and the other from chronoforms (that did not worked before).
The chronoform seems to be dependet on the other joomla contact form??? can anybody help please

My price is 50$ for repair the bug or my config?

thank you
julia

Hi Julia,

I can't think of any reason why sending the Mod_contact form should send a ChronoForm as well unless one form is inside the other.

Please see this FAQ which might help.

If this is Joomla! 3 (or possibly Joomla! 2.5) then please try my Email [GH] action which uses a different version of the Joomla! mailer code.

I installed the action (2 times), but it does not help. I use joomla 3. The debugger say the email is send... but there is no email:

Hi Julia,

Then I'm afraid it is probably in a spam folder somewhere.

This is an unusual email address 'info@mahlina.www58.hostkraft.de' is it matching the site domain?

It is a Test Domain.... The joomla contact form works good and sends all email, but only chronoforms make problems...Spam folder is empty.

Hi Julia,

If my Email [GH] action is reporting the Email sent then it probably has been sent and has been dropped somewhere en route. You can try with different email accounts - in particular make sure that the From email address matched the site domain; I'm not clear that yours does.
