Chrono and Joomla 3 - Actions missing

Huski 14 Jul, 2013
Have just created a new website using Joomla 3 and installed chrono. I am copying forms from my joomla 2.5 site (manually) and I am having problems finding out where a few things are.

In joomla 3 - where is the Actions tab gone now (it is sitting next to elements tab). I can't add any actions to the form I just created like Load captcha, etc. I just cannot find this anywhere - very frustrating and no tutorials or help on this that I can find.

Also, in the 2.5 version I can't find out where the emails and thanks message have gone.

Very confused.

Hi Huski,

Assuming that you have recent releases of ChronoForms v4 on both sites then there has been no big change in the admin layout. There are some 'styling' changes that have been introduced by the changes in Joomla! but that is all.

I've posted a screenshot from the Form Wizard in Joomla! 3.1 below. What do you see?

I am seeing what you have in the picture except the Action tab is missing. Weird.

Hi Huski,

If you look at the page source using your browser web develop tools and hunt down the end of the elements tab do you see any error messages of anything else that looks odd?

Warning: the page source is very big!

Its a bit strange.

When I create a new form and choose Form Wizard then I am getting the Elements and the Actions tabs.

But when I click on Wizard Edit next to the form I already created, I only get the Elements tab - no action tab.

I can't remember if I chose Easy Form Wizard or Form Wizard when creating this form originally.

Can't see any noticable error when looking at Elements tab (or end of it).

Wait - I clicked on Easy Form Wizard and the Actions tab does not appear.
When I click on the Form Wizard the tab does appear
so it seems I created the form in Easy Form Wizard.

Wonder if this is a bug?

Hi Huski,

It sounds like a problem with the form that maybe creating a PHP error and stopping the rest of the page from loading.

Do you see anything more helpful if you temporarily set Error Reporting to Maximum in the site Global Configuration?

I recreated the form using the Form Wizard and that was fine. It just didn't work with the Easy Form Wizard.

Hi Huski,
I had the same problem, if you click on the form you've created that goes to the form settings page, from there you can change the "Form wizard mode" to "advanced" and then save the settings to get the actions tab.
