I've a date field with format dd/mm/yyyy and validate-date-au but now it doesn't in Firefox 21 (it's ok in IE 10 and Chrome 27). How can I fix it? thank you.

This is a bug between MooTools and FireFox :-( Please see this post for two possible ways of fixing it.

I don't want to upgrade mootools because it gives me other problems. I did the second solution, but it didn't work...

I think that it is only a minor MooTools upgrade so you might test that out.

How can I update mootools? If I enable system mootools upgrade plugin none validation in forms works...

Go to the MooTools site, download the version you need and replace the version on your site with the updated one.

I think I'll retire the validation of that field...
