Problem saving added new fields

amheng5 11 May, 2013
Hi,

I've been creating a long form and seems like after so many fields I cannot save anymore fields. Every time I try to save a new field I get redirected to the Joomla Control Panel and no changes have been saved. I currently have about 50 fields (input and formatted text)

Is there a max number of fields to create in a form? It's a simple form with NOT using multiple pages. Making changes on the Events and Form Setting tabs is no problem.

I use Joomla 2.5.11 and using the latest chronoform version Chronoforms_V4_stable_J2.5

Your advice will be appreciated. Thanks

Ok, i've gone and changed the php to show 2000. I'll let you know if I have any further problems. Not sure was "suhosin" is so I guess I don't have it.

Thanks for your help.

No luck. I've even changed the max_input_vars to 3000. I've deleted all my deactivated forms, cleared my browser history, cache, and cookies. I've never run into this issue before I upgraded to the latest version. Also I have one form with no problems that was imported with custom code that has all my fields I want to use in my new wizard form. Any other suggestions. Thanks

Hi amheng5,

No, I don't have anything more than is in the FAQ - it probably still in one of those settings. What do you see in your server logs?

By all means email or PM me the site URL and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.

Hi amheng5,

If you check the Site | System Information | PHP Info tab on your site you will see that max_input_vars is still set to 1000. The php.ini file in use is /home6/virginn9/public_html/php.ini

Hi again. The php.ini does show my changes to the php.ini file

; How many GET/POST/COOKIE input variables may be accepted
; max_input_vars = 3000

but it doesn't seem to reflect this in the system info php tab. This is so puzzling :? . I don't see where else the system page is pulling the info.

I'll keep plugging away and figure it out.

Hi amheng5,

A line that starts with a ; is a comment so doesn't do anything practical.
