Click Submit on IE makes page scroll up but not process form

CardOneConcepts 02 May, 2013
Hello,

I have a site set up on Joomla 2.5.9 and I am using the Chronoforms 4.0 RC3.5.2. I am having an issue on a site with all my chronoforms specifically in an IE browser ( Big Surprise there! Gotta love IE!).

Anyway, I have forms on a few different pages and they all work fine in any other browser. But in IE when you fill out the form and click submit the page slides up as if it wants to display a validation error or something?

At first I thought it was because I have the forms set up inside of collapsible panels using the chrono forms article plugin. See Here:

http://yoursafetyteam.com/training/classroom-training/course-schedule.html

But that does not seem to be the case? As I set up a hidden chronoforms menu item with the same form and the same thing happens on that page as well in IE?

Oddly enough and I don't know if it is related to this issue but the Check Box groups I have in these forms will NOT align vertically even if I check the option in the form wizard?

But it would appear as though this IE submit button problem is related to the checkbox groups becuase they slide to the top of them when you click submit, even if there is no validation set up for the checkbox group.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi CardOneConcepts ,

I get the same result in FireFox. I suspect it is because you have validate['group_19'] set on the checkbox group and I don't think that this is standard validation???

Oh Man!!! I totally thought tried that already? But your right! I unchecked required and it works!

I guess my only question would be how would you make this a required thing for a user to have to check at least one checkbox then?

And any thoughts on why I can not get the checkboxes to align vertically even when I check the option to do so?

Thank you so much for your speedy response and your time!

Hi CardOneConcepts,

Please try turning off Input Formatting on the Advanced Options tab of your template. I think that then the validation and hopefully the formatting will work correctly. The Rocket Theme formatter replaces the ChronoForms inputs with copies of it's own making and so the ChronoForms JavaScripts and CSS no longer work as they should. (The downside is that it won't look quite so pretty.)
