Chronoform does not display in article

tai 16 Apr, 2013
The plugin returns the code line only and the module shows only "Powered by ChronoForms"
I have uploaded and turned on the component, plugin and module. The form is published and has a name and the "Load html" on load. I have replaced the <p> and </p> tags with <div> and </div>.

What am I missing? I am using Joomla! 2.5.9.

Hi tai ,

Have you added any inputs to the Preview box in your form? That is the one thing that you don't mention.

Bob,

I have several basic elements (text boxes) in my form if this is what you mean.

Hi Tai,

Yes, that is what I meant. Please take a Form Backup using the icon in the Forms Manager and post it here (as a zipped file) or PM or email it to me and I'll take a closer look.

Hi tai,

Please check what you have in the article - you should have
{chronoforms}FreeGuidetoUS{/chronoforms}
what you actually have is
<div>{<strong><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';">chronoforms}FreeGuidetoUS{/<strong><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';">chronoforms}</span></strong> </span> </strong>
</div>

Thanks for your reply. I tried to remove the code around your line, which was put in by the template. It still did not display. <p> and </p> tags were automatically reinstalled when I saved the code. I replaced them with <div>and </div> tags. No luck either. Suggestion?

Hi tai,

Please try using {chronoforms} with a small c - just like the example I posted. Everything else looks OK.

Yes! Thank you. Now, I remember why I became an engineer, not a programmer. 🙂
Any idea why the code needs to be corrected to not include all this formatting code you advised me to remove?
GreyHead 19 Apr, 2013
Hi tai,

It looks as though you copied and posted the code in from a word processor doc, or maybe a web page and all the formatting came with it. Some editors have a 'paste as plain text' option that you usually need to use when pasting into an article (or a document come to that) to avoid unwanted junk. You can also check the HTML view of the article before saving to see exactly what is there.
