CFV4_db_save.pdf

Hi,

I've recently installed Chronoform V4 and familiarising myself with how to use it. I'm using the PDF tutorial of CFV_db_save.pdf. I've successfully followed it through and did as per each step, but am puzzled why it did NOT save the form exactly as it shows on page 5 on number 13 that says "13. Click the record name and you should be able to see the data saved" and shows a screenshot of a record saved. The record I have doesn't quite match with the record as shown in the screenshot. The "subscribed" field on mine says "0" when in the screenshot says "1". Why didn't it save it as "1"? :?

Hi BionicNelly,

The logical explanation would be that the Subscribed drop-down was set to No or Please Choose when the form was submitted.

I've no idea what you are talking about because it doesn't say anything like that anywhere in the CFV4_db_save.pdf tutorial. So where does it get set to No? Because I clicked the dropdown list and selected "Yes" but it isn't saving "Yes" as that would be equal to "1" when you look it up in the stored database table. So something has changed since the tutorial was written and hence why I'm asking what is it that causing the "Subscribe? dropdown list to always be stored as "0" in the stored database? Is there a bug with the dropdown list? I include my screenshot of when I set up the subscribe field.

Hi BionicNelly,

It looks to me as if the Options for the select drop-down may need to be
0=No
1=Yes
It's not my tutorial so I'm not completely clear what was intended.
