Portuguese characters (utf-8)

AntonioGraca 31 Mar, 2013
Hello
I have a problem with the header from List View Fields. In listing the Portuguese characters (utf-8) appear correctly but the header titles do not assume utf-8.

How to solve?

thank you

Hi Antonio,

What about the header title inside the connection settings, did it save fine or not ? please check the connection settings page ?

Also does your database have UTF-8 as the default collation ? because it has already been tested with french and Chinese character before.

Hello Max

I save the header settings as follows:
epoca_treinos:Época,periodo:Periodo,escalao_treinos:Escalões... etc.
But after recording change as follows:
epoca_treinos:u00c9poca,period:Periodo,escalao_treinos:Escalu00f5es... etc.

Database should not be because when I list the record with Chronofroms titles appear as it should be...
I check the database and the configation is Server connection collation utf8_general_ci.

I send the image of two list:whith chronforms and chronoconect

Thanks

Hi Antonio,

Sorry for not responding sooner!

Please check the "connectivity" table, does it have the same collation utf8 ?

Please check the "connectivity" table

Can you explain better?

Thanks

Hi, Max

The table configuration: Group (Collation) utf8_general_ci.
But as I had said in previous mail, using the same DB and same table if list the data through the through chronforms or chronoconectivity, appear different configuration in the header (before I sent pictures of the 2 situations). Using the same table, whith the cronoforms the setting of UTF8 in header is well but whith the UTF8 chronoconectivity configuration header is not well. :?

Thanks

Hi Antonio,

I mean the "jos_chronoconnectivity" table, please check that and let me know.

Also, are you listing records only or you need to allow record editing ?

If you only need listing then you may contact me through the "Contact us" page to get the next generation version of Connectivity, I can send you an early installer and it should work fine beside the version you already have.

Max

Hello, Max

Sorry max, my mistake..

Chronoconnectivity table is group (Collation) utf8_general_ci and the default Cronoforms table too. I send the image...
When in the listings I need edit the records I use the Chronoconnectivity and the listing do not need to edit I use ChronoForms. In this case, I need edit records...

Ps. I have the latest (public) version of Chronoconnectivity and ChronoForms. The next generation of Chronoconnectivity is not yet fully compatible with my version of ChronoForms?

Thanks for your support...😀

Hi Antonio,

The new version is independent of ChronoForms, you can use your own form code, or the built in form helper code, but it can list your records nicely and do some good processing.

Please contact me through the "Contact us" page to get the installer and test it first.
