New forms default to "Custom" instead of "Wizard"

TonyCline 27 Mar, 2013
I installed ChronoForms and created a form with it that worked and was using the form. I started modifying the form, adding containers and cleaning up the formatting so that the form would be centered in my article. Well, I somehow broke it so I clicked "the apply updates" and it was still broken. No big deal, I created other forms but each of the new forms are defaulting to "Custom" under form type instead of "Wizard" and when I change the type to "wizard" nothing actually changes. When I try to click "Wizard Edit" in the forms manager I get the error "Your form type is "Custom" and so you can NOT add /edit the form fields (code) in the wizard any fields you add here now will not be saved. When I create a form nothing is added through the wizard to the form actions.

I deleted all of the forms that I had, uninstalled the component, re-installed the component and created two new forms with the same errors and received the same results.

When I click "test form" or front end view the only thing that shows up is "Powered By ChronoForms - ChronoEngine.com"

Hi TonyCline,

I haven't seen the sticky 'Custom Type' setting reported before. By all means email or PM me the site URL and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.

The 'missing form' can probably be fixed by dragging a 'Show HTML' action into the form On Load event.

Hi TonyCline,

Thanks for the login. Everything looks OK to me. I was unable to re-create the 'Custom Type'; error you reported. All of the existing forms have the type set to Wizard and I was able to create a new Wizard for that appears to work exactly as expected.
