DIV With Form Code Ignoring Layout

Li LikeStuff 12 Mar, 2013
I created a form and am using this
{chronoforms}Contact_Us{/chronoforms}
, to display the form on the page. It works fine but the issue I'm having is that I have 3 DIVs on the page, one with the contact form above, one with phone numbers and one with directions.

When I view the page for some reason the phone number and directions DIVs are enclosed in the contact form div. The DIVs are all set-up to float left and they work and fit nicely on the page if I remove the form code
{chronoforms}Contact_Us{/chronoforms}
, and put some other text there.

So I'm confused as to why this is happening and I don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions please?

Thanks in advance!

Hi LikeStuff,

It sounds as though there may be an unclosed div in the form code? There was a bug with the container code in some recent versions where a </div> tag was missing, if this is the problem please contact Max for a patch.

Hi,

This problem occurs when you have a container element with nothing after it, first, please make sure that you have the latest venison, you may fix the problem quickly by dragging an empty "formatted text" element after the container, or even a hidden field element.

You may also contact me though the "Contact us" page for a patch file.

I dragged a "Hidden Field" and a "Formatted Text" element and placed at the bottom of the form, but it makes no difference.

I think I understand your instructions correctly. The above is what you wanted me to do?

Oh... and I have the latest version of the component and plugin.

Thanks!!

I think I'm going to request a copy of the patch because now some odd things are happening.

I add a closed "DIV" in the formatted text field and the form appeared ok but when I go back to the page the form disappeared. In addition it's now preventing me from editing the formatted text field, the configure, drag and delete buttons are showing.

So, I'm not sure what else to do but to use the patch and see if that helps.

Thanks!!
