My form is not showing!

asle 06 Mar, 2013
Hello,
I had Chronoform working but now all I see is this on the page:

{chronoforms}My_Form{/chronoforms}
- That is the text i have on the article page.

I also tried with {chronocontact}My_Form{/chronocontact} but I also just see that text.

so I wonder what is wrong. I have Joomla 1.5.26 and these modules
Components: Chrono Contact V 3.2
Modules: mod_chronoforms V4 RC3.0
Plugins: chronoforms V4 RC3.0

I am not certain if I have the correct files installed since I tried to upgrade and maybe then everything went wrong.

Update: I tried to make a menu item with a direct link to a Chronoform. I am sure I typed the form name correctly. But I get this on the page:
There is no form with this name or may be the form is unpublished, Please check the form and the url and the form management

Hi asle,

You need version 3 of the Plugin and Module to work with ChronoForms v3 on Joomla 1.5 - and the plugin syntax will be {chronocontact}My_Form{/chronocontact}

Thanks for super fast reply!

I tried to uninstall and install the correct files. Now all my forms are gone! Does an uninstall of Chronoforms wipe the database also?

I still get this message even when I try to load the demo form and write it in the page:

There is no form with this name or may be the form is unpublished, Please check the form and the url and the form management

I installed these files:
mod_chronocontact_V3-1.1_RC5.2.zip
ChronoForms_V3.2.0.zip
ChronoForms_Plugin_V3-1.1_RC5.2.zip

Hi asle,

There was no need to uninstall the commponent :-( Just the Module and Plugin were mismatched.

I don't think that uninstalling v3 deletes your forms - you can see if the records are still in the database table. If not you could restore the tables from a backup if you have one . . .

I did this before (uninstall and install) and never lost any records. But now the db table is empty 😟
Anyway I just need to get this to work. Do you have any suggestions to my last reply?

Hi asle,

What is the URL that gives the error message?

It's most often a problem with SEF URLs - though it could also be because there is now something wrong with the installation.

Hello, it was a problem with SEF urls so i cleared them and it helped. Also I found out the plugin was not enabled so when I enabled it in Extensions -> Plugin Manager the form shows up. That was too easy. Sorry for that stupid mistake!

Thanks for your help. I will remember to back up my forms before I do any more upgrades!
