Display Menu Title or Header

LikeStuff 04 Mar, 2013
How do I get Joomla's Menu Title or Header to show on the page please.

Currently the only way for me to add a header to the page is to use the "Formatted Text" element, which is fine, but I want to move just the form section without the header and doing it this way won't work.

Thanks!!

Hi LikeStuff,

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you need to do here? You can get the current page or Menu title by using the ItemId from the page URL to look it up. Would that do what you need?

You know when you create a Joomla article it automatically adds the page heading if that's how you have it set-up. In this case I have it set-up so that the heading shows. So I'm wondering why the heading for the form is not showing when I'm using the same menu as I am using for my articles.

Under "Show Page Heading" I choose yes, but I'm still not seeing the heading.

Hope this is clearer. Thanks!!

Hi likestuff,

Is it the page heading that shows or the article title? Forms don't have titles so I'm not clear what would show on a form page? (and I'm not expert in these parts of Joomla! so may be getting the wrong end of the stick).

OK let me try one more time🙂

I assigned the form to the "Contact Us" joomla menu item. I entered the "Menu Title" and "Page Heading" and was assuming that one of them would show at the top of the page above the form.

Please see attached pic.

Hi LikeStuff,

There's nothing built-in to ChronoForms to show either of those. But you could add the code to look one or both of them up and display the result using a Custom Element element.
