Hi,

This is driving me nuts. I have CF 3.2 installed on an old J1.5 site. Some of my forms created with CF allow the captcha to work, but this one form will not allow the captcha to work. I cannot figure out what is wrong. Everytime I enter the code and submit the form I get this error:

You have entered an incorrect verification code at the bottom of the form.

But the code IS correct.....Please help.

you can see a copy of the form here:

This is a duplicate of the form that sends an email to me, not to the client (for testing-debugging purposes)

Hi Riceman,

I had a look at the form - I get the same problem, but I don't know what is causing it :-( Is there any caching turned on for the site, that might cause a problem like this?

Hi Greyhead,

Thanks for taking a look. I am noticing a few weird things going on with CF itself. Maybe I should uninstall and reinstall? Take a look at the Screenshot of the Form Wizard...I am missing some fields in the parameters box...right? It only offers me a place to edit the text, but nothing else like length of the textbox, requires, etc. This is the same on my form that I am having trouble with, and may be the cause of the problem.

Anyway, I do NOT want to recreate the forms, so if I uninstall will it clear out the database too? When I reinstall will my forms still be there? Or, could I do a manual install via ftp and overwrite the existing files?

Open to suggestions here.

Hi Riceman,

Hard to say, it looks as though there might be a JavaScript problem. Is the MooTools Upgrade plug-in enabled?

Reinstalling or upgrading to a newer version of CFv3 shouldn't remove your forms or data. But better to have form and database backups first just in case.

Upgrading to CFv4 does mean a form rebuild and probably isn't necessary until you upgrade the site to Joomla! 2.5+
