Sorry about this. Max recently upgraded the forum software because there were some serious problems with the old version.
The new software has a better 'parser' than the old one (the parser is the code that reads your post and makes it look OK on the page). Unfortunately the parser doesn't like the code produced by the old parser and, for a while, there was also a conflict with another Joomla PlugIn.
The result is that many posts show these strange bits of text - they are in fact html entities, and there is a list here.
When I find them in important posts then I edit the post to fix the errors but there are a lot of posts and I'm never going to fix them all.
