Hi Guys, when I enable the plugin my entire front end gets a HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error). the backend still works thankfully. How can I go about trouble shooting it?
Hi crazyboi1,
Sorry, no idea. When you say 'plug-in' do you mean the ChronoForms extension?
Or is the extension OK and installing the ChronoForms plug-in gives the problem?
Or does this only happen when you try to display a form in an article? If so then your form may have an Event Loop action that loops to itself.

Hi, yes I mean that enabling the chrono forms plugin causes the front end to display a 500 error
Hi crazyboi1,
Which versions of Joomla!, ChronoForms and the ChronoForms plug-in do you have? There may be a mismatch here.

Hi Studet,
What do you see in the server error log?
Please post a link to the form so I can take a quick look.

Hi,
In 500 error cases, please set the "Error reporting" to Maximum in the Joomla global configuration and check if you are get any text errors instead of the 500 error ? that should help us solve your problem.

Max

"Suddenly"... I am receiving the 500 error when saving a form in the Wizard Edit in the back-end, or Canceling out for that matter as well.
I installed and experimented with Seblod CCK, then uninstalled the Package when I got this error, but I am still getting it.
Hmm... what else?
Per your other questions:
Using:
Chrono v4
J2.5.9
I went into Safari (for which I have not logged in as an admin) and still get the error.
I opened JCE and other components, saved and it saved fine...
In the Wizard edit with errors on maximum, I see this err many many times:
Notice: Undefined offset: 2 in /home/wsamain/public_html/next/administrator/components/com_chronoforms/views/form_wizard.php on line 911
I set maximum errors and see this in: /home/wsamain/public_html/next/logs/error.php
Hmm... what else can I try?

Hi cubefree,
There's nothing in the Error log or the Warning that would indicate problem with ChronoForms (the Warning is irritating but harmless).
This is most likely a problem with a server security setting. Please see this FAQ for some suggestions.

Hi,
In case this has not been solved yet, please set the "Error reporting" to maximum then try to save in the wizard, do you still get a 500 error or something different ?
