There is no connection with this name...

JeLu 25 Oct, 2012
Hi!

I have a problem with a form (CFv3.5.1) when trying to use it together with CC4 RC3.2. When I try to edit in front I get this Message:

There is no connection with this name or may be the connection is not published, Please check the available connections in the Connections Manager.

It is published and I have named the App to ChronoConnectivity.

I just updated to latest CFv4 and CCv4 and the problem occurs after that.

It is only in Front I can“t edit. In Admin list it shows.

Has something changed since previous release?

Hi JeLu,

I'm not aware of any change. What URL do you see when you get that message?

index.php/component/chronoconnectivity/cc_edit_data/35?Itemid=

And the domain first.

Hi JeLU,

It looks as thought the SEF URL isn't connecting correctly :-(

I have Joomla "SEF" aktivated and a lot of links in text with that. Is it a better way to use another SEF engine? Like sh404SEF!?

Hi JeLu,

I don't really understand the way in which the Joomla! SEF URLs work or don't work. They don't always seems helpful.

In ChronoForms there is an option to turn Relative URLs off but I'm not sure that anything similar exists in ChronoConnectivity. I suggest that you contact Max using the Contact Us link above and include a link to this thread.

An SEF extension might give you better control. I haven't used sh404SEF since Yannick sold it; I've used AceSEF successfully on a few sites, it does at least allow me to over-ride or edit most features of the SEF URLS if necessary.

Hi,

If you have Joomla SEF then please create a menu item for the connection and use it for any testing, you may also disable SEF and test again, if both don't work then please contact me through the contact us page with a link to the listing.

Max

When I use a menuitem it is shown as I wanted. The error got when I wanted to preview by clicking at "Frontend View" in admin.

Stuoid of me to not test that, sorry.
