Chronoform problem with Internet Explorer

eckart 17 Oct, 2012
Hello,
I am using a simple form with some text boxes for which I have validation / required activated, see
in <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.ematthias.de">www.ematthias.de</a><!-- w --> behind "Downloads".

Works fine with firefox. With IE, however, in case of a missing entry and after clicking "Submit"
the little popup "This field is required" does not come up, instead it jumps directly to "On Fail".

What is wrong with my settings? Can anybody help?

Hi eckart,

This looks like the 'IE9 problem'. Please see this FAQ

Good Morning Bob,

it's not the 'IE9 problem'. In fact, I tested with IE8.
Do you have any other advice?

Hi Eckart,

Hmm, You're right. But it works OK on the 'normal' url here so maybe it's a problem with the SEF URL somehow?

Ah, found it - the form is inside <p> tags. Please remove them or replace them with <div> tags.
