WYSIWYG enabled doesn't save in DB

zambala 17 Oct, 2012
Hello,

I am new user with Chronoforms, just today downloaded and testing V4 with Joomla 2.5.7 on Wamp...

1.I created a Form with Simple Wizard
2.I was trying to follow the manual pdf how to Save to DB...

Problem: When I enable WYSIWYG editor for Text Area , and click to create a Data Base for this form, this entry for editor doesn't show up.
(I have a simple form with 2 text fields and 2 text areas(1 area with editor enabled) +submit button)- when I create a DB I get fields : input_1, input_2, input_3, input_5_submit ; - ie skipping input_4....
And when I test a form - there are all fields, but WYSIWYG not saving....

I was trying to add it by hand in DB creation interface, but still nothing...

What I am missing?!

Hi Zambala,

You need to turn off the WYSYWYG editor to use the Create Table icon, or add the extra column by hand probably with type TEXT. Provided that you have a column with the correct name - it's probably input_textarea_3 - then the DB Save will work OK.

PS I recommend that you rename elements to give them more meaningful names e.g. comment or message instead of input_textarea_3
