Submit does not work unless logged into Joomla

divesplash 15 Oct, 2012
I have a form on my Joomla site that is for public use. Once you fill out this form it is saved to a database and redirects you to the thank you page. This all works great if you are logged into Joomla. However, if you are not, the Submit button simply clears the form without sending the information to the database and does not redirect the user. I need anyone to be able to use this form not just registered users.

Any ideas?

I have Joomla 2.5.6 and Chronoforms 4.0 RC3.4.1

Hi divesplash,

You could build a form to work this way but an out-of-the-box basic form should not do this.

Please post a link to the form so I can take a quick look.

I'm trying to figure out how to make sure a user can't use the form unless he is logged in, is there a simple way to do this?

Hi Sameway.co.uk,

The Authenticator action in the Security actions group will do this.

Did anyone have an answer on the original issue? I am experiencing the same problem.

Hi mollied,

I've never seen a form that actually does this. Please post a link to your form so I can take a quick look.
