How to display modules with chronoform

bgareth2 03 Oct, 2012
Hello there,

I have linked to a Chronoform from a html wrapper but I cannot get the other modules to display around the form generated. I have created a menu which is not linked to a module but I'm really not sure what to do next. I've searched around on the internet and I cannot find the answer.

Currently the form looks like this: http://www.garethgroup.com/component/chronoforms/?chronoform=Gareth_Group_General_Enquiries

but I need the menus and other modules to display like on <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.garethgroup.com">www.garethgroup.com</a><!-- w -->.

Please advise me on how to do this.

Thanks and Kind Regards,

Ben

Hi Ben,

The usual Joomla! things apply. You can set the modules to show on all pages; or put the form in an article; or add the form to a menu item and and add the modules to that; or you can probably put the form in a module and show that on a page of your choosing.

Hello Greyhead :-)

Thank you for your reply.

I have looked at the suggestions you have made but

1) Placing the Chronoforms HTML into an article disables the submit button, causes question marks to appear and ignores the CSS that aligns the fields.

2) Please correct me if i'm wrong but a wrapper would need to be loaded as a menu item.

3) Chronoforms is not an option on any of the module menus - this is what i'd like to see and in my opinion how it should work.

4) I cannot have the menu's set to show on all pages because there are alternate menus for different pages that occupy the same position.

5) It seems to me that you cannot take a link and apply it to a piece of text in a wrapper to load it, for example as a hyperlink within a contact box including a telephone number and Email.

Hopefully you can shed more light on this, I'm not a coder.

Thanks for your time.

Ben.

Hi Ben,

1) Placing the Chronoforms HTML into an article disables the submit button, causes question marks to appear and ignores the CSS that aligns the fields.

Are you using the ChronoForms Plug-in to add the form to the article? This sounds more like template problems than ChronoForms ones.

2) Please correct me if I'm wrong but a wrapper would need to be loaded as a menu item.

I'm not sure what this has to do with your question? Why are you using a wrapper?

3) Chronoforms is not an option on any of the module menus - this is what i'd like to see and in my opinion how it should work.
I don't' understand this question. If ChronoForms installs correctly you can add a ChronoForms item to any menu and then add it to a menu module.

5) It seems to me that you cannot take a link and apply it to a piece of text in a wrapper to load it, for example as a hyperlink within a contact box including a telephone number and Email.

I'm sorry, I have no idea what you are asking here :-(
