Getting the toolbar to work

megana 13 Aug, 2012
Hi all,

I feel like I have a very, vary basic understanding of how ChronoConnectivity works. I've checked the tutorials and FAQs and searched this forum but I can't find some answers to my (probably very basic) questions.

I have a form set up that saves information to a database table. I have a connection set up that displays that information (Frontend View), and if you click on one of the entries it allows you to edit the information and save it. All good there.

My problem is with the toolbar. I have "New" and "Remove" buttons displaying. If you check an item and click Remove, it is deleted properly but then you are redirected to the home page of my site instead of back to the list view. How do I fix that?

Second, when you click the New button, it also takes you to the home page of the site instead of to the form. What step did I miss to make that connect?

Hope someone can help me, or just point me to the instructions I obviously missed.🙂

Hi Megana,

If you have SEF enabled then please make sure that you create a menu item to your connection and use it to access your connection, or make sure that your browser shows SEF link when you are at the list page, using a non SEF link will cause the problem you have described.

Hi Max,

I do have SEF enabled, so I set up a menu link as you said. Now the New button no longer redirects to the home page, but when I click it all it does is add a # to the end of the current page's URL. Which is slightly less annoying but still not the intended result. 🙂 Any other tips?

Thanks!
