I had a CC connection that was using a Custom List Setting to display. It was working properly, including sortable columns and CC search function.
I have since added a multiple table relation to the connection, a one-to-one connection with the _users table (to pull email address). Now, I cannot get the table sorting or search features to work. When I try to search, I get the following message:
When I attempt to sort the table, I receive the following:
The available search fields, the sortable column fields, and all of the data fields reflect the ModelID for the connection. Where am I missing the boat??
Thanks!!

Actually, the Sort and Search works when just viewing the connection on the front-end of the site. When I use a CF form these errors are returned. I needed to use a CF form in order to make use of the Joomla email cloaking plugin.
This has been solved, thanks to Max, and I wanted to post the resolution here in case it could help anyone else.
I was attempting to load the ChronoConnectivity connection through a CF form, with the menu item pointing to the CF form. This was not correct. The menu should point to the connection, and the connection need only reference the form to load other actions. These are the two tutorials Max pointed me to:

Hope these help!!!
Thanks again Max for putting up with me 😶
