Template breaks when I install Chronoforms

antonyaddy 18 May, 2008
Hi all,

I have just installed Chronoforms on my Joomla version 1.52 and I have created my form and linked it to my main menu, however, when I click on the Contact link -
http://www.transaquatis.com/index.php/contacttransaquatis- the template formatting breaks. Could someone please assist me here? I don't think I have used the right technical terminology, but I'd appreciate any help please.

If it helps, I have consulted Firebug, which gives me the following three errors when I access the above link -

window.addEvent is not a function
http://www.transaquatis.com/index.php/contacttransaquatis
Line 43

Hi Anthony,

Hard to tell as the page now gives a 404 error.

On the home page you have both the JQuery and the Mootools JavaScript libraries installed so most likely the problem is a JavaScript conflict.

I'd guess that you are using validation and have the Prototype library selected. Try switching that to Mootools and see if things improve.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the answer. I have readded the contact form at http://www.transaquatis.com/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&Itemid=66. I'm still having major formatting problems with the form as you will see.

How do I do that please?

Thank you again.

Hi Anthony,

Looks as though you need to add a table, or a few <p> or <br /> entries to set some line breaks.

You can switch the Validation library on the Validation tab in the Forms Manager.

Bob,

Thank you! I was missing TABLE tags, which has sorted out the problem.

The SEF problem is not related as I first thought.

Thank you again.

Best wishes,
Antony
