Checkbox group validation not working in Joomla! 2.5.4

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. I've used ChronoForms v4 in previous versions of Joomla and the Checkbox group validation has always worked for me but it's not working in Joomla! 2.5.4. All other field types are validating properly.

From what I can tell it's not adding in class="validate['group[1]']" for the checkbox groups I have marked as required.

To get it working I've had to add it in manually. Is there something that I need to select that I may be forgetting?

I've spent a hour digging around the code and I'm pretty certain that this is a bug. I'll go add it to the bug list.
