Hello,
We have a form which takes some users a LONG time to fill out:
http://www.nutramino.dk/ansogning-om-sponsorat.html
Is it possible to do something to increase time on form, or to do something else?

Hi weiseren,
There is a Load Keep Alive option on the Show HTML action. But you'd probably be better off converting this into a multi-page form.

OK.
Is this difficult to do? Is it by any chance explained very easily in the book you are linking to in your signature???🙂

Hi Kasper,
Setting the Keep Alive option is very simple.
Buiding a multi-page form takes some knowledge and experience. Unfortunately the ChronoForms book only tells you how to do it in ChronoForms v3, not in v4.

It says i am using chronocontact v.3.2 so this would be covered by the book i guess?
And the quick and simple keep-alive option, I clicked the form and looked under all tabs without any luck unfortunately...
thx for the help so far.

Hi Kasper,
I'm sorry I should have asked which version you were using, these days I tend to assume it's CFv4.
There is no 'keep alive' option in V3.2 though you can add code to do it; you can also extend the user session time - a Joomla! site setting which defaults to 15m.
The book does have an example for CFv3.2 - in the last chapter. You can read a few sections here to see if it looks to be helpful.

OK thx.
So i increased session lifetime from 55 min to 70 mins... quite a lot though already i feel...
I will get a copy of the book - i like v.3.2 so will stick with that for now...
Would multipage forms do away with my session lifetime issue?

Hi Kasper,
I'd expect 55 minutes to be enough for most forms.
Please check this post for Keep Alive code
A multi-page form where each page takes 10-15 minutes and the data is then saved is a lot safer and more friendly than a very long form.
