multi page: how to coma back with Back button ?

laurentmartin 27 May, 2012
Hello
I have searched the whole forum bout this and didn't find anything.
In one old post, Max explain that to come back on the previous page of a multisite while keeping data restored in the previous field , you need to have the session id .
In his example max do it with a link and it works perfect like this :
index.php?option=com_chronoforms&chronoform=multi_page_demo&cf_sid=04c24e62758d5f45ba649ad4b94b46e9
My question is how to do this in a clean way with the Back Button instead of with an ugly link ?

Hi laurentmartin ,

The 'Data to Session' and 'Session to Data' actions (or maybe the Multi-page action) will handle the data part of this for you in CFv4. The Back button is always tricky as it may re-load a cached version of the form from the browser (current browser versions show warning messages if this happens). It's better to add a specific 'back' button in the form so that you can control the re-load.

Hi Greyhead,

Indeed, i manage properly with the Data to Session and Session to Data.

Just i find it weird that the back button doesn't allow to get the data back by using the token.

Is there no way to hack the code somewhere to do this ?

I personnally like the couple BAck / Next button, it is clean, (still i don't understand why they are inverted as Next should be right side and back left side!)
