Load css - install action - file permissions error

sianjoeledgar 18 May, 2012
Hello,

Firstly, I just wanted to say that I'm really impressed with chronoforms and I'm very sorry if my question has been covered somewhere already (please point me in the right direction if it has - it didn't come up when I searched), but I don't seem to be able to install the LoadCSS action. I haven't had a problem installing previously but when I try to install the zip file I get the error:

"Warning: Failed to change file permissions!"

I thought this might be a problem with my ISP so I emailed them and their response was:

"The server that you are on does not allow the user to change permissions but the permissions are set to 750 which allows most files to run. If you can provide the specific permissions that are required along with what folders and files to change we can action this request for you."

I was wondering if you could let me know which folders and files would be effected so that I can ask my ISP to request this for me?

Cheers

Hi sianjoeledgar,

The Load CSS action is included in the ChronoForms release so you shouldn't need to install it.

Sometimes you get errors like this if FTP is turned on in the Site Global Configuration and the FTP User doen't have the necessary permissions. Try turning it of if it is on.

You can also install actions manually by using FTP to copy the action folder into the administrator/components/com_chronoforms/form_actions folder.
