Sincerely,

Use the mambot to show it in a content item and publish that content item to the frontpage!
Sincerely,
Max
Thanks for the info. The way I understand it, mambots were a Joomla 1.0 thing. What about Joomla 1.5? How would we publish a chronoform on the front page in 1.5? The limitation being that it seems you can only create a menu link to the form. I don't want to link to the form, I want it on the front page.
Earl
Mambots had a name change in Joomla 1.5 - now they are PlugIns, otherwise they continue to flourish in pretty much exactly the same way.
Bob
PS This means that there are two kinds of PlugIn. There are some ChronoForms 'local' PlugIns like the registration plugins; and there are Joomla site level PlugIns (bother) - the old mambots.
There is a 'site' level PlugIn for ChronoForms that allows you to publish a ChronoForms form in a content page.

Bob,
Thanks for the reply. All good info. But I don't feel like I'm any closer to publishing a chronoform on the front page of my site. When I login to the J! administrator console and go to the plug-in manager I don't really see a way to add/create a plug-in.
As you can probably tell, I'm new to the whole Joomla! thing, so I appreciate your help and patience while I get my feet wet!
Thank you.
Earl
You need to download the ChronoForms Mambot from the DownLoad section here.
Install the Mambot in Joomla with the normal extension installer.
Publish the Mambot in the PlugIn/Mambot mananger.
Add {chronocontact}my_form_name{/chronocontact} into your content page.
Please see this FAQ if you have any problems.

Thanks for the help. All went fine up to the direction quoted above. How/where do you "add" the tags into your content page?
Is this supposed to go into a certain file somewhere? If so, which file?
Earl
Anywhere in the page text is fine. Just put it into the page content where you want the form to show up.
Bob
Here's the link:
frontpage:
http://sitesetup.info/
stand alone form:
http://sitesetup.info/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&chronoformname=lead_contact
I have a different plugin on this page also, but I'm guessing that we should be able to have as many plugins within a single content item as we want, right?
I have installed the following two packages:
ChronoForms_Bot_0.6_J1.5.zip
ChronoForms_V2.5_J1.5_RC3.1.zip
Any ideas?
Thanks
Is the front page a Joomla Content page - can't tell from the url?
Have you published the ChronoForms Mambot/PlugIn?
Bob
I thought of "publishing", but every time I opened the Plugin Manager, there was no option for publishing, and now that you mention it and I go back, then it appears.
Thanks a bunch, this was the problem. It's now displaying as I intend for it to. Thanks a bunch.

Hi everybody,🙂
I've got the same request, I'd like to publish a chronoforms form on the front page, but unfortunately the link provided is no longer the right one. Could you please tell me where I can download this plugin? Thanks a lot 😀
