Hi!
So far so good, I'm very impressed with Chrono Forms and will be recommending that my client buys a copy. However at the moment I'm stuck with 'embedding' my simple form into a Joomla content item... can anyone help please?
Thus far I have an un-styled basic form here:
http://buntingfordmedicalcentre.com/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&chronoformname=contact
That form submits mail to me and even redirects after a 'Thank You' message & works fine.
But whenever I try to 'embed' the form into a content item using {chronocontact}contact{/chronocontact} (my form is called 'contact') all I get back in my browser is the text '{chronocontact}contact{/chronocontact}' and not an embedded form thus:
http://www.buntingfordmedicalcentre.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=8&Itemid=54
As you can see from the above I've successfully managed to embed another module - Google Maps - which works fine.
Can anyone suggest where I'm going wrong please? It's a fresh install of Joomla 1.5.2 (Linux) and the current version of Chrono Forms, downloaded yesterday.
I tried seeing if using the default Joomla template made any difference.... it didn't.
Thanks in advance.
Steve

Hi Steve,
Please double-check that the ChronoForms mombot/plugin is published. This is the most common cause of this problem.
If that isn't the cause, then try making sure that there are spaces before and after the ' {. . .} '. Running the tag into surrounding text sometimes seems to make it invisible to Joomla.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the reply.
Here's a thing - what's the Chrono Forms Plugin actually called?
I've looked in Extensions > Plugins and indeed Extenstions > Modules (both with the filter set to display all) and can't find anything with Chrono in the name....
That did get me thinking so I went to Components > Chrono Forms > Forms Management, ticked the checkbox alongside the name of my form and hit the Publish icon just in case... should I expect to see any feedback as to whether the form is published or not? I couldn't see the customary green tick / red cross.
What I find confusing is that directly linking to the form (see my original post) is working fine (so does that imply the Chrono Forms plugin is in fact published?) yet when I embedd I can't get it to work.
I took your tip and made sure no text was butting up against either end of my {chronocontact}contact{/chronocontact} tags... they were fine.
Regards,
Steve

Hi Steve,
The ChronoForms mambot/plugin is a separate install, you can get it from the downloads tab above. It's called 'chronocontact' on my Joomla 1.5 install.

Hi Bob.
Perfect - that did it! Works fine now after installing chronocontact.
How on Earth did I miss the requirement for a totally separate install in all the reading I've done? Must be getting old.... ;-)
Cheers,
Steve
