Hi friends!
I can't remove a menu item, in Joomla back-end, created with chronoform to link a table I don't use. It's really easy to create but I can't remove it. Could someone help me, please?
Thanks in advance for any help and sorry for my bad English.
Néstor
Hi Néstor,
I've no idea - I can't even see how to create a menu link . . . ? Show me that and maybe I can work out how to get rid of it.
Bob
Hi Bob! Thank you for your soon answer!
When Chronoforms is installed in Joomla 1.5, can be accessed from the menu of components in the Joomla manager. By putting the mouse over "Chrono Forms" opens a sub-menu with choices: "Forms Management" and "Menu Creator." With the "Menu Creator" can be created direct links to the tables from any of the menus of the administrator. I make some links to tables that no longer need, but I can't eliminate the link in the menu.
Thanks again for your help and sorry for my English. I'm doing my best ;-)
Néstor
Hi Néstor,
Your English is good, thank you.
I've just looked and I supposedly have ChronoForms 2.5 J1.5 RC3.1 installed *but* I don't have that menu option. I'll re-upgrade tomorrow and see if I can work out what is happening.
Bob
Hi Nestor,
No way to remove it currently through Chronoforms, you will need to use PHPmyadmin and the #__components table to do this, take care as this may get you into troubles, I will try to have a new option to remove it at the next release!

I too have this problem.
I installed chrono forms onto Joomla 1.5.3 and tested a form. Created a table related to the form and later uninstalled chrono forms. I am left with a field in my Components drop-down list called "Test". If I click on this it generated a 404 error.
I am keen to have this fixed as soon as possible. Will you please advise how to do that?
BTW - I tried loading an image for you to see. I was presented with "Image size exceeds administrators settings" and had to re-type this post again. I will try and add the image in a subsequent post.
Thanks
Chanetsa
I can't add the image. The error message says the file is too large (15.2Kb) - says larger than 499 pixels is unacceptable.
Cheers

Hi Chantesa,
The menu problem is a known bug that I expect Max will fix in the next release.
Wide images break the forum, I think you can still upload it using the 'attach file' option.
Bob
Does that mean I will have to install Chrono Forms again to remove this option from the componens list? If so, will someone notify me when it is ready (because I don't use Chrono Forms)?
Thanks
Chanetsa
Hi Chanesta,
All you can do now is to open the jos_components DB table with phpmyadmin and remove the entry manually, Chronoforms will provide noway now to remove the menu item!

Hi
I found the record. Exported data from the table as a backup. Deleted the record in the table. Tested and all is OK.
Thanks

I'm with the same problem. Actually I don't know how to use phpmyadmin. Please, can someone help me to exclude those menus? Thanks!!!
Hi Julio,
You can install the EasySQL Joomla extension and find and delete the entries from there. Or you can wait for the next release of ChronoForms as Max says that he's added a removal tool.
Bob
Thanks GreyHead. I think I'll wait for the next release of ChronoForms since I don't know how to use EasySQL.
