Installation mistery

Hello,
I've a problem with the present functionalities of Chronoform in my localhost on my proper PC and on my website. I'm working on joomla 1.7.5 and I installed the latest version of Chonoforms on both sides.
On my webiste view I have much less parameters present than on my PC installation. In attach I have added 2 examples but there are more.
Yesterday and today I've made my 2 first real forms with you excellent extension (but I have to learn much more 🙂.

Does someone has an idea what this can be?

Hi Bart,

Assuming that you have the same version of ChronoForms on both sites I can only guess that there is a JavaScript error or conflict of some kind in your website admin that is breaking the tab script that shows the extra options.

You could try using s different browser and/or clearing the browser cache to see if that makes a difference.

I cleaned my cache and did didn't solve the problem and using another browser gives the same result. Does there exist a possibilety to search for incompatible javascrips or does someone got another possible solution?

Hi Bart,

Use your browser Web developer tools to diagnose JavaScript problems: F12 in IE8 or IE9, Shift+Ctrl+I in Chrome, FireBug in FireFox, DragonFly in Opera.

Hello,
I think I found the reason of my problem. The chronoforms component version who is installed is 4.0 RC2.0.
I now thried serval times to install the latest version but this is not working. Joomla keeps trying to install but nothing happens (over 15 minutes).

Is there another way installing the component or what can I do else?

Hi Bart,

If the automatic installer doesn't work (it does 99%+ of the time) then try a manual installation using the next box down on the installer page.

I tried to intall the component form my work station (other PC) and.... no problem installing the latest version. So problem solved.
