User registration auto login

I am using J1.5 and CF2.5 J1.5 RC2. Is it possible, using the Registration plugin, to automatically login the user upon successful registration? I would like to present a page that has an option to login an existing user (using standard Joomla login module) or register new user (using CF). End result of both paths is that the user is logged in and can view a page (either redirect from login, or redirect from registration).

Yes I think so, You'd need to make sure that activation is turned off in your site config. Then the user should be logged in once the registration is complete. I've not done it this way so I'm not certain though.

Did you find a solution for this. I need the same function, because I reckon people who have just filled out a large registration form should not have to login afterwards. It's just not polite!🙂

I have NO CB running -- just straight joomla with cf-registration happening...

tried pasting a few code things into the after submit code boxes... but nothing gets me logged in after registration.

Notification/authentication is off - -meaning no email authentication is on.

I've just tried the 'Auto Login' setting in the Joomla Registration plugin and that appears to work OK. You do have to have "New User Account Activation" set to 'No' in the site Global Configuration | System | User Settings panel as well.
