I'm sure this may be a simple question, but I want to ask to make sure before I start doing things. I just downloaded the V2.5 J1.5 RC2. I am currently running version 2.5 J1.5 RC1.

What is the best way to upgrade? Can I just unzip the files and upload them manually to overwrite the current files on my website? Should I just uninstall the current ChronoForms component and then install the new version?

Hi krackerjax,

You can safely upgrade by overwriting the existing files. I think that with Joomla 1.5 the installation package has the same folder structure as the site so you can just ftp the whole thing to your site.

You can upgrade by uninstalling but you **must** backup all your forms and all your form data first and restore it afterwards.
