CC v4 and Search Setting Tab

federico85 07 Apr, 2012
Hi guys!
I'm trying to use the new version of CC.
I saw in the Search Setting Tab that is possible to use a custom search form instead of the default one editing the field named Search form Event.
I tried to create a search form with CF and put its name into the Search form Event box in CC but I always get "There is no form with this name".
Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?
How the Search Setting Tab works?

Thanks!

Hi federico85,

Have you set the Form Application Group to ChronoConnectivity on the Form General tab? You should then be able to select it on the Fornt Editing tab.

Ok maybe i got it!
Now the message "There is no form with this name!" doesn't appear anymore.
But I still get no form above my list of record.

Hi,

Actually this is a field to place an "Event" name, not a form name, you already select your form for the whole frontend/admin management, so this one is just an event.

Thanks for the reply,
It was what i was trying to do...
I built a simple form:
- In the preview tab of my trial form I added:
1) Header
2) "name" field
3) Submit
- In the Event tab i just added "show HTML" (OnLoad side).
I set the Form App to ChronoConnectivity too.

In CC i did as you told me to do and now i tried to insert "Load" and "On Load" (the name of the event containing show HTML) in the Search form Event field Admin and Front Side.
All i get is this:

Thanks Again!

Hi Federico,

I suggest that you use a different event, because you may use the load event some where else, but the real event name is "load".
