Hi there, really need some help with this.
I'm getting error messages when I try to install the chronoforms component: Chronoforms_V4_RC3.21_J1.6.zip. I'm using Joomla 1.7.0. The error message is as follows:
Applied '0' Database updates successfully.
Error installing component
and
Component Install: DB function reports no errors
I've installed a jcomments extension so I know the 'Upload and Install' feature is working... I've attached a screenshot as well. Has anyone experience this and resolved? Thank you

Hi jllav03,
Is ChronoForms working OK? If so you can probably ignore the errors. There's a database upgrade for existing installations that adds an extra column to the forms table. If that column is there then all is well (the extra column is used for the Application Group feature which you probably won't need unless you have a lot of forms).

Hi there, chronoforms is not working at all because I'm not able to upload and install the component. That is the problem, I can't seem to upload it.
The Joomla site that I'm uploading it to, does not have chronoforms.

Hi jllav03 ,
I guess that you could try a manual installation. Hard to know what is causing the problems here. We have had very few reports of installation problems with v4 and none with this error.

Ok, Ill try to import the files directly into the servers /component folder, should i name the main folder com_chronoforms as seen below? Fingers crossed!
/opt/apps/joomla/apache2/htdocs/components/com_chronoforms
/opt/apps/joomla/apache2/htdocs/components/com_chronoforms
Hi jllav03,
Creating the folders only is not enough as you will need the DB tables and records created as well, please check how to do a manual extension install on the Joomla docs site.

Max
