this is a rewrite of a previous post - hopefully easier to understand:
I created a custom registration form using the CF actions "User Registration" and "User Activation". The Joomla registration is turned off and I did elect to have a user activation link emailed to the new user.
The process works just as expected, if the new user form is filled out while NOT being logged in.
Unfortunately the activation link fails, if the new user form was filled out while being logged in as a different user. The message is "Verification code not found".
I checked the database, and the token in the activation link is identical to the value in the Activation column of the users table.
I am at the end of my rope here. For my project it is obligatory to create new users while being logged in.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you
