Joomla registration, mail gets empty?

Hi,
I cant get it to send out a correct mail after registering a new user for that user to be able to activate the account, and the admin mail is also wrong.

It only contains the first parameter in the body of the message, and that is the unconverted SEND_MSG_ADMIN or SEND_MSG_ACTIVATE depending on if its the user or admin mail, if I remove that part and use $name or $row->name as the first one, I get that one in the mail, the ones after gets lost.

For some reason it goes wrong, I use Joomla 1.5.1, and would really love to get this working.

It does however send out the email with all the content in the form, since I've selected it to be sent as email, removing the password part.

But something is missing in the creation of the user registration mail.

Hi Tommy,

I agree there is a bug with this in the J1.5 version, give me few hours to release a new version hopefully with more bug fixes and new features! or at least a new plugin file!

There has been a few hours, and I don't see any solution to the problem, for my site its about life and death, non working stuff equals lost traffic, lost members, lost revenue.

I figured that I might use the option, not to send the user and admin an email, and do the verification mail by myself, but chronoforms dont care what I set the send user and admin mail to.

Also, for some reason, chronoform cant be used in conjuction with smartsef? I tried disabling smartsef for all cronoform items, but no go at all.

Obviously, a new version is needed, when will it arrive, I have an immediate need for a working component, and will code it inhouse if thats faster.

Please advice.

To get the email not empty, please extract and upload the attached language file to your Joomla languages folder!

I run joomla in Swedish, both front and backend, but I figured I'd try to upload your file, and rename it and put it in the swedish folder also, with name like the other files in that directoty, seems however, that it don't work, it still dont output anything more than before.

I also noticed that your language file was non UTF-8 which the core joomla language files are, is that an error, I tried resaving them as UTF-8 but it made no difference.<br><br>Post edited by: tommyhome, at: 2008/03/27 00:17

Ok, lets try this, at whatever language you have, get the com_user language file and copy it and rename teh copy to be for com_chronocontact, use the same syntax for file names for other components, does this work ?

perfect, that worked like a charm, are there any other chronoengine specific items I need to add to that file now that it works?

Would be happy to provide the Swedish language file, if wanted.

Great, this file is only to fix the Registration plugin issue no more since this is how the global language files works for J1.5!

The language file needed will only depend on the site language used😉
