Page Break for printing

dkartuzinski 20 Mar, 2008
Dear Bob or Max,

Hello. I am trying to insert a page break in the middle of my form for printing purposes.

I am trying to use page-break-after or page-break-before to get it done but this is having no affect.

You can look at http://www.lasertransportllc.com/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&Itemid=12

and then print it with the button or use print preview from the browser to get an idea. It should be pretty self explanatory on what I am trying to do.

Thanks.

Hi DK<

Sorry, no idea why the css doesn't work but there is an error in the Print script which is missing the closing '}' according to FireBug.

Hi DK,

Do you have J1.0 ? if so then Enable mambots in the Form and then insert the {mospagebreak} ? not sure but try it!!

Cheers

Max,

Thanks for the answer. I am using 1.5 - I put it in legacy mode and enabled mambots. But unfortunately, it didn't work.

I am still working on this. Right now I am just trying to get everyting to validate as the form only works in Firefox but none of the other browsers. Not in IE 6 or 7, not in opera, not in safari!

I created a new post with a question, which I am sure you will see.

Thanks.

If I solve this I will post the answer.

I need the pagebreak too for other purposes. The form should be a step-by-step wizard so I could either use tabs (which btw works) or pagebreaks with prev-next navigation.

My preferred solution is to have pagebreaks within the form but can't get {mospagebreak} to work on Joomla 1.0.15, Chronoforms 2.3.9.1

The pagebreak does work in Content items but that is not a workable workaround. I would need separate forms.

Did any of you get further on the {mospagebreak} in forms?

<edit>Other mambots in the form work perfectly. Just the mospagebreak that generates something like this Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in bladibla/mambots/content/mospaging.php on line 45.

Try this (with Word XP (2002) and the adjacent versions. Word Vista (2007) might have something similar):

1. Press CTRL/H.
2. Click in the Find What text box.
3. Click the Special button.
4. Click Section break near the bottom of the list.
5. Click in the Replace With text box.
6. Click Special again, and select Manual Page Break.
7. Click the Replace All button.

Also, I think S1 will print Section 1 and S1-3 (or S1-S3?) will print a range of sections.

Hope that helps.
