Getting an Auth.Net Error

mlklocke 16 Mar, 2012
i just installed the auth.net plugin for my client, input the api login and transaction key and took auth.net out of test mode and put the account into live mode so that it should take a real transaction now on both ends. three times now i have tried doing a transaction and gotten an error in the transaction detail on authorize.net it says "Transaction Status: General Error (Request rejected by FDC omaha - Wrong merchant type)" Now i am just using a visa card to test it (and yes it has money available on it) Any ideas. It is a debit card but i would think it should still work.

H Mike,

From the Authorize.net error list if looks as though FDC Omaha have some extra rules. See Error 210.

See this too

This usually means when the Authnet account was created someone put in the wrong informationbut it could also mean the processor also created the merchant account improperly. Verify with Authnet and your processor that they have properly set up your accounts.
