Joomla 2.5.2 Chronoform won't send emails

tlegens 14 Mar, 2012
I am at my wits end here. I just upgraded my Joomla 1.7.3 website to Joomla 2.5.2 and my forms now won't send the email. After entering the data and hitting submit, the screen refreshes and clears out the values in the field instead of showing the thank you message I created. These forms were working for months prior to my upgrading. I went out and downloaded the latest release of the component but still have an issue. Need some help asap please.

Hi tlegens,

It sounds as though the forms are failing a validation check - do you have Captcha or Recapthca or ServerSide validation enabled? If so please check the settings. Adding a Debugger action to the On Submit event for testing may also give you some clues.

Also upgrade to the latest ChronoForms release if you haven't already done so.

Thanks for the quick reply GreyHead. I did just find out what the issue is. I had recently turned on joomla caching and was using it in conjunction with jotcache to help with the website load times. Once I did some trial and error I found out that the Joomla cache was the issue. Hopefully this will help anyone else that may run across this.

Hi tlegens ,

That makes sense - I didn't think of it though. There is a no-cache option on the Show HTML action BUT I think it only refers to the browser caching and does not stop Joomla! caching.

Bob,

I have just had the same problem. I posted in another thread (I will update that in a moment).
My field ID's were cName and cEmail - I guess one of them caused the above problems
I changed them to CustName and CustEmail and now my thank-you and email are working.
