I am a beginner when it comes to coding other than basic HTML and CSS. I need a State dropdown list and I did some searching around the forum. I found some code here and there, but it appeared to be dated and for older versions of both ChronoForms and Joomla. I am currently running Joomla 2.5.2 and ChronoForms V4 RC3.21 (I think the lastest of both).
Could someone help me with a guide as to how the best way is to go about adding a dropdown list of this size?

This came at an opportune time. I'd been working on a Custom Select [GH] action that lets you use pre-defined option lists in Select drop-downs, checkbox and radio groups. Your post got me to get it published.
You can see a demonstration here (unfortunately this site was installed with no content to I had to do a quick add of a couple of articles for that drop-down. More information is here where you can also get the action.
You'll see the US State drop-down on the demo. With the action installed it takes about 20 seconds to create the form element.
