Date picker chooses it's own dates...

morktron 08 Mar, 2012
Hi, I'm using Joomla 2.5 with Chronoforms component 4.0 RC3.2 and plugin V4 RC2.0.

On Mac OSX 10.6.8 using Firefox 9.0.1

The date picker seems to have a mind of it's own and won't let you choose the dates that you pick.
Please see this video or try it yourself on the website

If someone can help me to get it working I'd greatly appreciate it

Hi morktron,

I suepect that's the same bug (or a close cousin) to the one fixed in this post

Thanks GreyHead, I made the changes as you suggested and it works now - almost. It jumps to 1970 if you click again.

I'll leave it like this for the time being and hopefully you'll have a working date picker in the next version😉

Meanwhile for other sites I'll stick with a standard text field to enter the date for the time being since it is a lot of extra work to get this half working and it will be overriden probably if I update Chronoforms.

Anyway thanks again

Hi morktron,

I'm not sure what the cause is but it's getting confused between mm-dd and dd-mm. It tries to interpret the date in mm-dd format, if that is a valid date it shows; if not it reverts to Unix time 000 which is 1/1/70.

Thanks Bob, yes that makes sense then, at least we know what is going on.

I'll wait it out anyway and hope you'll be using a more stable datepicker in the next version, maybe even a jQuery one😉
