Chronoforms V4RC3.2 produces blank page in backend

Windwachter 05 Mar, 2012
Hello!

First of all, great extension for joomla!
I tried it first on my localhost to test. It worked as I expected but when I installed Chronoforms component, plugin and module on my online webserver, it produces a blank page when I try to go to the component in the backend.

There are no errorcodes/messages produced.

Only when I directly go to Validate Installation in the submenu of ChronoForms (via the Component menu), that part of Chronoforms loads. But when I try to load Form Wizard for example, I get a blank page again.

Versions:
Joomla 2.5.1
ChronoForms V4 RC3.2

localhost PHP version: 5.2.5.
onlinehost PHP version: 5.3.10

Any ideas?

Hi Windwatcher,

Please try setting the Site Error reporting temporarily to Maximum in thsite Global Configuration and see if you then see a message. A few users have reported getting this message
Fatal error: Class 'ChronoFormsAdmin' not found in . . ./administrator/components/com_chronoforms/admin.chronoforms.php on line 88
It would be helpful to know if you are seeing the same.

When I try to go to Forms Wizard and Easy Form Wizard:
Fatal error: Class 'ChronoFormsAdmin' not found in /customers/2/c/1/rzvl.nl/httpd.www/administrator/components/com_chronoforms/admin.chronoforms.php on line 26

When I try to go to Apply updates:
Fatal error: Class 'ChronoFormsAdmin' not found in /customers/2/c/1/rzvl.nl/httpd.www/administrator/components/com_chronoforms/admin.chronoforms.php on line 72

I am experiencing the same problem. I am trying to install Chronosforms for Joomla 1.7 it installs OK, but when I try to use it: Components/ChronoForms , all the 3 options (Forms Manager; Form Wizard and Easy Form Wizard) replies the error:
Fatal error: Class 'ChronoFormsAdmin' not found in /home/mydomain/www/administrator/components/com_chronoforms/admin.chronoforms.php on line 88

Components/Chronoforms/ValidateInstallation: it open OK, but options Forms Manager; From Wizar and Easy Form Wizard into it, replies the same above error.

I changed the BD typy from MySQLi to MySQL: the same error

Chronoforms's file installed: Chronoforms_V4_RC3.2_J1.6

System informations:
PHP 5.2.5
Apache/2.2.21
Joomla! 1.7.3 Stable [ Ember ] 14-Nov-2011 14:00 GMT
Joomla Platform 11.2.0 Stable+Modified [ Omar ] 27-Jul-2011 00:00 GMT

Hi jcmafra,

It sounds as though Max has a intermediate bug fix release if you ask him for it through the Contact Use link above.

Hi,

I'm facing the exact same problem
"Fatal error: Class 'ChronoFormsAdmin' not found in /administrator/components/com_chronoforms/admin.chronoforms.php on line 88"

Have asked for a bug fix through the contact us menu.

Just thought I'll add a reply here to suggest that a permanent bug fix may be required in the next release.

And may I add, thank you for this wonderful component!. Its been a life safer, and I have been using it for years now.🙂

Hi,

Thanks for the updates. I'm sure that Max's next release will fix this. I think that this ia a problem with PHP 5.2 and the way that version recognises the classes. That would explain why only a fairly small number of uses are experiencing the problem.

That should be strange because it was running well on my localhost with PHP 5.2.5.
On my onlinehost with PHP 5.3.10 it was giving me these problems...
