Problem with a Chronoform v4 2phase form

wmuckell 29 Feb, 2012
I am designing a Chonoform v4 form in Joomla 2.5.

Firstly it was to use the paypal redirect plugin, but that didn't do anything when finally submitted.

So as a test I took out the paypal bit and did a simple email and thank you message. But now this is doing nothing too.

Can someone please take a look and help me sort this. V Urgent

Two backup files attached. One with the original Paypal, one with standard email. Had to zip them as backup files not allowed here.

Hi wmuckell ,

Looking at the Email one you seem to have created an extra event.

You want the Show HTML action in the On Load event and the Email and Show Thanks Message actions in the On Submit event. Leave the third one empty as it's probably doing nothing.

. . . and the same with the PayPal one.

The reason I did that was to get a two page form effect with a page break. How do I do page breaks otherwise?

Hi wmuckell ,

Max has built page-breaks in to CFv4 from RC3 on. I'm not exactly sure how they work but a little experimentation should show you. Usually I do it with extra forms; you could probably do it with extr actions but you'd need to manage the URLs carefully to make sure that everything was being called at the right time.

Hi wmuckell,
You just need to drag a "multi page" action from the Utilities section to each of your events on your form (on load, on submit, on on submit). And then inside the "show html" actions for your "on submit event" click on the multipage tab and change your submission event to the "on on submit".

Hope this helps,
Apryl
